About the VR Study Meeting
1. Start
The VR Study Meeting was initiated on 7 February 2002 at Saitama University where CAVE system had been set in March 2001 and used in the visualization studies. The people visited some sites to examine the early applications by using CAVE.

The first VR Study Meeting was opened Feb. 2002 after about one year intensive studies by using the CAVE.
2. Development of cooperation
The meeting was opened 21 times in Saitama University till May 2005. Then the meeting was supported by the colabolating institutions, shown below.
JAMSTEC
Tokai University
Chuo University
Joshibi Women Art University
and so on.
The figure below shows the meeting times per year. Since November 2019 the meeting has been postponded due to COVID-19 huzzard.
Just recently the meetings have been planned to be done in the style of Online. At the end of this week (on 21 Nov.) the total number of the meetings will be 90.
